What Sheila Really Wants With Finn on The Bold and the Beautiful

Sheila Carter is the mother of many children on The Bold and the Beautiful. She gave birth to Mary “Erica Lovejoy” Warwick, Diana Carter, twins Ryder and Daisy Callahan, and now John “Finn” Finnegan. With all these kids and at least one granddaughter, out there, we have to wonder why Sheila is zeroing in on her doctor son. Could it be that Finn isn’t actually who she is interested in at all and it’s his standing with the Los Angeles elite she’s really after?

Bold and the Beautiful: All In The Family

Think about it, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) didn’t show up at all during Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) life. Oh sure, she’s said to ask to meet him once but that was it. No stalking outside his kindergarten room, no lurking during his graduations, no chasing him down during medical school. Heck, she didn’t even try to fake an injury to try to see him at the hospital. She only showed up on his wedding day…to a Forrester.

B&B: Oh, The Games She Plays

Sheila was ecstatic to learn Finn was marrying the beautiful Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). In fact, she was practically giddy. So much so she couldn’t help but congratulate her son herself and even manipulate him into inviting her to the wedding. Of course, that didn’t go her way and now she’s stuck between a rock and a hard place.

This all just tells us Finn is nothing more than a pawn in her game to get back with Eric Forrester (John McCook). Sure, the Bold and the Beautiful patriarch despises her but hey, there is a fine line between love and hate, right? Surely, if she stays on the right path he’ll forgive her one day – especially if she can get Finn on her side. It all comes down to duping Finn.

Will Finn fall for it? Oh, probably. Will Eric? Probably not. At least we hope not. Sheila is a master at getting what she wants and will do whatever it takes to gain trust. She’s a master at the long game so everyone best be on high alert.

Bold and the Beautiful: A Dark Heart

Sadly, in the end, we can see Finn getting very hurt when he realizes what his mother is really doing. He’ll get close to her, open his heart to her, and she’ll stomp all over it. What else can we expect from this deadbeat mom? We can almost guarantee she never would have thought about Finn if he had never met and fallen for a Forrester.
