Veteran soap star Sarah Brown, best known as Carly on General Hospital (where she also played Claudia), but is also known for her turns as Agnes on The Bold and the Beautiful, Julia on As the World Turns, and Madison on Days of our Lives, took to social media to pay tribute to a dear friend, who recently died.
Sarah Brown Pays Tribute
“A friend of 17 years, who treated me like a Father, @doctormacmoretz unfortunately passed away this week suddenly & unexpectedly,” shared Brown on Instagram about Dr. Macoy Moretz.
“He was so very kind & generous to me, treating me with Vitamin & mineral drips for months, to help me heal from a stomach infection I developed last year as a result of Celiac Disease ☘️,” Brown added.
“We shot these videos together days before my own Father passed away last year, which also happened very suddenly,” the actress adds, referring to some videos that can be seen in her social media post below.
“Dr. Macoy you will be dearly missed by me and so many others. Godspeed my friend, my heart hurts so badly. 😔💔🕊🥀,” Brown posted. “With an entirety heavy heart I send my love, prayers & condolences to his many friends, his family & colleagues.”
The three-time Daytime Emmy-winner added the following poem from Mary E. Frye. It reads:
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there
I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripening grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there
I did not die
While Sarah Brown isn’t currently on daytime, fans can watch the captivating actress on both seasons of Sean Kanan’s series, Studio City, which can be seen on Amazon Prime.
