Condolences are going out to Sarah Brown, a veteran of multiple daytime dramas, on the loss of her late father David Brown. The actress made the announcement of her dad’s passing on Instagram.

“In loving memory of my Father, David Brown, who passed away Tuesday afternoon,” Brown posted on Instagram. “Our Dad had a uniquely grateful way of looking at life and his laughter remains one of my favorite sounds. I was incredibly blessed to have him not only as a Father but one of my closest friends. Rest In Peace Dearest David Brown 1947-2020.”
The actress is best known for her run as Carly on General Hospital where she earned Daytime Emmys in 1997, 1998, and 2000. She also played Julia on As the World Turns; Agnes on The Bold and the Beautiful; and Madison on Days of Our Lives.
In a follow-up post, both can be seen below, Brown shared photos of her father throughout his life. “David Brown has left the building… Rest in power, Pop,” shared Brown.
