Over the last year, Soap Hub has been presenting actors — in groups of three — wishing The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) a happy 30th anniversary. And the celebration continues!
Here, another trio of stars who’ve called B&B their home share some favorite memories from having been on the half-hour soap!
Bobbie Eakes (ex-Macy):
One of my favorite memories is of the first time I met the Bell family [all but Lauralee Bell, Christine, The Young and the Restless] for my second audition before the final screen test.
Bill, Lee, Bill Jr., and Brad were all in the conference room and, after I was introduced to all of them, I impulsively shouted ‘Let’s Play the Feud!’ It broke the ice for me when, thankfully. they all laughed!
Having spent a span of 14 years on B&B, many of the cast and crew are friends that I feel I could pick up with again just as if no time has passed at all. I’m so grateful for all the things it gave me: experience, confidence, and the wonderful exposure to so many countries where B&B is popular.
Lindsay Price (ex-Michael):
I have so many memories. I remember working with Susan Flannery [ex-Stephanie], thinking, ‘What a force!’ When I was on the show, I was at an age where I felt like I wanted to do movies and win Oscars, and being at B&B showed me that this medium is so special, more than any other.
I saw how Susan was developing her character over so many years. That changed my life as an actor. I really admired her and realized what a gift it was to have a character be so developed and so convicted for all those years.
Erik Estrada (ex-Eduardo):
I did 14 episodes of B&B in 2001. I played Eduardo Dominguez, the father of Antonio, who has HIV. Now, thank God, there’s medication where you can live with it. There’s treatment.
I’d like to give the show a shout-out for their anniversary. When I worked on the show, everybody there was gracious and wonderful. I remember one of the makeup artists was having a baby. My experience there was nice.
The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
