The Finn and Hope Twist That Could Upend The Bold and the Beautiful

Finn’s got a wicked birth mother who everyone loathes. Hope Logan Spencer’s got an ex-convict dad that her family and friends detest. The twosome has some massive parental problems to navigate with no one who understands. Well, except for each other. It certainly looks like the writing is on the wall for a Finn and Hope twist that could upend The Bold and the Beautiful.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Sharing His Dilemma

Finn (Tanner Novlan) found an easy sounding board in Hope (Annika Noelle) when he confessed that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) had been contacting him via text. Hope understood his dilemma.

On the one hand, he wants to respect his wife Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) wishes and steer clear of the dangerous Sheila. Yet, on the other, he has a natural curiosity about his birth mother. It looked like the pair were en route to becoming friends and confidantes. After all, who listens better than the kindly and nonjudgmental Hope?

Upping the Ante

Then The Bold and the Beautiful immediately upped the ante in this pending friendship. Hope’s dad Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) showed up on her doorstep, having been sprung from prison and invited to pay his daughter a visit.

Unfortunately, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) were all over Hope for allowing Deacon back into her life. They cautioned that he couldn’t be trusted and would never change. The words stung Hope, who has an incomparable capacity for forgiveness and always sees the best in everyone.

What’s Next?

Suddenly, Finn and Hope are in the exact same situation; each wanting to know their parent and each being chastised for even considering it. As the pushback continues from their respective spouses and families, Finn and Hope are likely to gravitate toward each other for comfort and support. Who else do they have to turn to?

And with Sheila and Deacon joining forces to take down the Forresters and Logans, in an effort to become part of Finn, Hope, and their grandchildren’s lives, the turmoil is only bound to intensify. Perhaps Sheila and Deacon might even start pushing Finn and Hope together, and what started out as an innocent friendship could blossom into something more.

The Bold and the Beautiful has a lengthy history of intertwining Hope and Steffy’s love lives. The two stepsisters have both been married to Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) and Liam, and they each have a daughter with Liam.

So adding Finn to the romantic equation would be par for the course. However, it would totally upend the soap and the happily-ever-after lives Hope and Steffy are currently living with Liam and Finn.
