Jacob Young The Bold and the Beautiful
Thomas Forrester isn’t the only family member who’s dealt with inner turmoil on The Bold and the Beautiful. The character of Rick has also dealt with some issues and now, his portrayer, Jacob Young, is launching a podcast that plans to shine a light on mental health.

While Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), an adult, is battling mental health issues related to his obsession with Hope (Annika Noelle), veteran BB fans recall when a young Rick (then played by Steven Hartman) had a lot on his mind, too.
The year was 1997 and Rick was spending a great deal of time playing video games. The young man had seen his mother involved with many men over the years — his father Eric (John McCook), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Connor (Scott Thompson Baker), and Grant (Charles Grant). Rick didn’t care for his mother’s latest relationship. He got a hold of a gun and shot Grant!
Suspicion fell on Ridge (then Ronn Moss) and when he figured out that Rick was the shooter, he chose not to come forward so that Rick wouldn’t have to go to jail. Eventually, the truth came out and James and Taylor (Hunter Tylo) gave the youth some much-needed therapy. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
