Original cast member John McCook has seen a lot of changes on The Bold and the Beautiful over the years, but one eagle-eyed former cast member recently spotted the actor, who plays patriarch Eric Forrester, still carrying one of his longtime possessions.
John McCook Has It All Together
“Leaving work: my backpack (lunch, scripts, iPad, etc.), clear makeup bag to take on set (few makeup personnel allowed there), and the ubiquitous face mask…” McCook shared on Instagram along with a photo of him wearing a mask to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, “if it gets any worse we’ll all need shopping carts…😎😬.”
McCook might not need a cart as he has his trusty leather bag (on his right shoulder), which he’s had for many years, to help him transport around the necessary tools so he can do his job. Former castmate Dan McVicar (ex-Clarke) wrote on McCook’s post “Good to see John! I was thinking about your leather shoulder bag the other day and I am glad to see it still in service!”
“Dad!!!!!!!!!❤️” wrote Ingo Rademacher (ex-Thorne; Jax, General Hospital). “Miss u mate.” Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), Ashley Jones (Bridget), Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter), and Beth Maitland (Traci, The Young and the Restless) also all posted supportive words and/or emjois on the BB patriarch’s post.
Fans also weighed in with messages of support, happy to see that the BB cast is back at work, making new episodes. “💕Thank you John for all your effort to carry on and work during these difficult times,” posted @caroljmiller746. “As a long time fan, I am so happy to see you and all the cast back on the set. Really enjoying the new episodes!
“I [met] you and several cast members years ago at the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach,” @carolejmiller746 added. “Seeing all of you there together was a joy, and wonderful memory. It was an honor to meet you! Take care and be safe.” The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
