The Bold and the Beautiful’s Courtney Hope: A Tribute To Her Canine Hero

When last we saw Sally Spectra on The Bold and the Beautiful, she was pretending to fake a terminal disease to keep Wyatt away from Flo—and when Flo figured out the truth, she was knocked out by Penny, and viewers were left wondering her fate. In real life, Sally’s portrayer Courtney Hope has a much kinder friend by her side.

The actress shared an adorable photo of her dog on Instagram with a post talking about what a great companion she has been.

“Look at that face 😍. This was her keeping me company for 6 hours during acting class last night (after patiently waiting outside my door for four hours while I recorded VO),” Hope wrote. “My sidekick, soulmate, little girl, best friend, my guide, my student, my teacher, my therapist, my mirror, and my shadow. Life changed the moment she came into my life and I’m a better, more loving person because of her.”

Surprisingly, Hope admits she wasn’t a dog person initially, being both afraid of them and detached from their love because of it.

“I didn’t realize I was missing the key components of what love and connection meant. But something powerful happened inside my soul when I laid eyes on her at 3 months old and I knew I needed to rescue her…But what I didn’t know was we needed to rescue each other,” she wrote. “From that day I’ve never felt alone because I had her, and because she taught me how to truly love myself. How to live alone, be by myself, and thrive.”

Hope finished what she termed her “animal appreciation post,” with a heartfelt thank you to her dog for loving her so deeply, listening to her energy, and making her feel understood. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
