The Bold and the Beautiful C&G News

Who’s coming and who’s going from The Bold and the Beautiful (BB)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.

The week of January 18, 2021
Preemptions mean new air dates for the CBS soap crossover. Hunter King and Michael Mealor will appear on B&B as their The Young and the Restless alter egos, Summer Newman and Kyle Abbott, on Friday, January 22. Look for the two actors to be involved in scenes with Don Diamont’s Bill Spencer, Darin Brooks’ Wyatt Spencer, and Katrina Bowden’s Flo Fulton, as Summer and Kyle attempt to get dirt on Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

Tina Huang is set to reprise her role as Dr. Campbell. The obstetrician made her last appearance in 2017 when Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was pregnant with her daughter Kelly. Huang was last seen on Days of Our Lives in December of 2020, where she portrayed district attorney Melinda Trask.

The Bold and the Beautiful History

BB made its debut in 1987 and introduced glitz and glamour to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, three decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stephanie’s (Susan Flannery) iron grip on her family to Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) evil schemes to the epic love story of Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), BB knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Young and the Restless (YR). BB airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
