Days of our Lives C&G News

Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of our Lives (DOOL)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.

The week of January 18, 2021
After nearly two months off the canvas, Camila Banus is finally returning as Gabi Hernandez DiMera. And, not surprisingly, she’ll immediately share scenes with Brandon Barash when Jake receives a visit from his fiery ex on Tuesday, January 19.
Banus last aired in November of 2020. At the time, Gabi decided to leave Salem and head to Arizona, after finding Jake in bed with Kate (Lauren Koslow).

Ivan G’Vera has returned for another run as Ivan Marais, Vivian’s longtime manservant. The character was recently revealed as a co-conspirator in the abduction of Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli’s (Lamon Archey) twins.

With G’Vera back on screen, it’s only a matter of time before Vivian joins him. And, as previously reported, this time she’ll be played by soap vet Linda Dano.

Days of our Lives History

DOOL made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
