The Bold and the Beautiful Stars Jacob Young and Katherine Kelly Lang Reunite

For many years, Katherine Kelly Lang and Jacob Young played mother and son on The Bold and the Beautiful. Now, the two are reuniting for some “real” conversation.

Lang shared on Young’s post how great it was to reunite with her TV son. “Thanks, Jacob!” the actress wrote. “So fun to chat with you! Can’t wait to see you and your family soon!”

Young and Lang first shared the screen in late 1997 when he made his debut as Rick Forrester, the son of Lang’s Brooke and John McCook’s Eric, at the wedding of Ridge (then, Ronn Moss; now, Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke. Young remained on the show until 1999. He exited the half-hour soap opera but wasn’t gone from the genre for long. He became Lucky on General Hospital later that year and made his debut in Port Charles in February 2000.

Young switched soaps again in 2003 when he took on the role of JR Chandler on All My Children, a role he played until that show came to an end in 2011. Next, he returned to BB, reprising Rick. He exited BB in May 2018 when Rick and his wife Maya (Karla Mosley) and their daughter Lizzie (named after Rick’s maternal grandmother Elizabeth “Beth” Henderson Logan) moved to France to work at Forrester International.

Young can be seen next in the film Prepare to Launch in which he plays real-life astronaut Lt. John S. Bull.
