The Bold and the Beautiful Star Jacob Young Lands in ‘The Dog House’

While Rick Forrester is busy at Forrester International on The Bold and the Beautiful, his portrayer, Jacob Young, is busy making movies! The actor recently announced another film role he’s going to be playing.

To get some backstory on Young’s next project, his supporters may want to check out the movie Last Call In The Dog House. Young is set to appear in the movie’s follow-up.

“I’m super excited to be joining the cast for the sequel!!” Young posted. “Last Call In The Dog House 2.”

The first film, which stars Parker Stevenson (The Hardy Boys; Falcon Crest) and David Chokachi (Baywatch) tells the story of, according to IMDB, “a legendary New York dive bar, owned by an extraordinary family. Three people, from different backgrounds, enter at closing time on separate nights, carrying the world on their shoulders; but by the time each of them leaves after ‘last call,’ their souls are saved, while two of them realize how connected they are.”

Both Last Call: In The Dog House and its sequel were written and directed by Bruce Reisman (CHiPs; T.J. Hooker).

Young has worked fairly non-stop since his late 1997 debut on BB. After playing the role of Rick for a few years, he exited the half-hour soap. Shortly thereafter, he landed the coveted role of Lucky on General Hospital after it was vacated by Jonathan Jackson. Next, Young left Los Angeles and moved 3,000 miles across the country to take on the role of JR Chandler on All My Children.

After AMC ended in 2011, Young returned to where it all began — BB! He reprised Rick, playing him until 2018. During his second stint on the show, Rick fell in love with Maya (born Myron) played by Karla Mosley. The show told a sensitive and enlightening tale of Maya’s transgender journey.
