Good news for Brooke and Ridge fans. Shauna Fulton may be absent from the scene on The Bold and the Beautiful for a bit as her portrayer, Denise Richards, has an exciting new role.
Variety reports that Richards and Jane Seymour (Smallville) are filming Glow and Darkness overseas. The series was created by writer and poet Alejandro Gillermo Roemmers and the director is Jose Luis Moreno.
The program doesn’t have a distributor yet, however, Moreno doesn’t anticipate that being an issue. “We hope distributors see our work and, if they value it, will start speaking with us,” he said.
In addition to Richards and Seymour (both of whom have played Bond girls in James Bond movies), the cast includes Bruce Davison (Longtime Companion; X-Men).
Glow and Darkness tells the story of Saint Francis of Assisi and will shine a light on historical figures, including Leonor of Aquitaine (Seymour) and Pope Urban II (Davison).
Moreno is planning three seasons of the show and promises visual effects galore. Right now, there’s a six-month shooting schedule, but there’s no word yet on how long Richards will need to be there and when she can come back to the United States to shoot not only The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills but also BB.
Glow and Darkness is set to film in Spain, Italy, Morocco, France, and Egypt. So, while Brooke may be getting a temporary reprieve, we suspect that Shauna will continue to make her presence known! The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
