The Bold and the Beautiful Star Denise Richards Loses Her Beloved Dog

Denise Richards has suffered a loss that most pet lovers are forced to face throughout their lives. The Bold and the Beautiful star returned to the United States from shooting a project overseas in time to bid farewell to one of her beloved furry family members.

Denise Richards: Heartbreaking Loss

“Heartbroken,” Richards posted on Instagram. “Came home from Spain to say goodbye to our Louie…. did everything to keep him here. Sadly for us, it was his time to cross the rainbow bridge.”

The busy actress rescued Louie a decade ago. “He’s one of the funniest and most animated furry babies. I’m so grateful he waited until I got home so I could be with him. I know he’s now with some of his siblings & his nana (my mom) but it still hurts. Louie you are so loved and will be missed terribly. Thank you for blessing us with your unconditional love and effervescent beautiful spirit my [heart]…”

Richards’s support of our four-legged friends is well-known. According to the site Three Million Dogs, she converted her garage into a dog bedroom complete with sleeping areas and a grooming area for dogs she fosters. The site reports that Richards is active with organizations that support dogs, including Best Friends Animal Society’s Pup My Ride program.

Richards’s TV daughter, Katrina Bowden (Flo), posted words of support to her on-screen mom. “Sooo sorry for your loss,” Bowden wrote, “he was so loved and lucky to have you as momma. Sending you and your family lots of love.”

Pet lovers Darin Brooks (Wyatt) and wife Kelly Kruger (ex-Mac, The Young and the Restless) also let Richards know they were thinking of her. “I’m so so sorry…” Kruger posted. “I know this pain all too well. Sending you so much love.”
