Kiara Barnes The Bold and the Beautiful
Soap Hub reported Wednesday that Kiara Barnes is exiting The Bold and the Beautiful. The actress landed a series regular role on the revival of Fantasy Island, which is set to air on Fox. Now the show has released a statement.
“It’s been a pleasure having Kiara in the role of Zoe Buckingham on The Bold and the Beautiful,” Bradley Bell, executive producer/head writer, shared in a statement. “I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”
What does Barnes’ departure mean for her character Zoe? We may not have seen the last of Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Zoe’s dynamic. Soap Hub is hearing that Barnes isn’t due to set sail for Fantasy Island just yet. The actress will be sticking around BB for a while and viewers may see Barnes onscreen into the summer.
It’s possible that BB will recast the role at some point and the character will continue on. Given Zoe’s past actions, which include staying mum about baby Beth being alive and lying to Carter about her feelings for Zende (Delon de Metz), Zoe leaving town to begin anew is also a valid possibility.
Recently, Zoe found a confidante/sounding board in Quinn (Rena Sofer), who has encouraged Zoe not to give up hope regarding a future with Carter. Quinn popped over to the attorney’s apartment in an effort to intervene on Zoe’s behalf. While she made some headway, it wasn’t lost on Quinn herself that Carter’s got an amazing physique!
Quinn confided in Carter that her marriage to Eric (John McCook) has been, shall we say, lacking in some departments. Could a Quinn/Carter fling be in the making? While anything’s possible, it’d be hard to imagine Quinn straying from her husband given how passionate she was about reconciling with him.
Plus, Carter was promoted to being Forrester Creations’ Chief Operating Officer (COO) last year. He has a long history with the fashion house family. Would he really have a fling with Quinn — especially knowing how much Zoe’s betrayal hurt him? Stay tuned. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS.
