The Bold and the Beautiful recaps for June 28 – July 2, 2021, feature Quinn Forrester hoisted by her own petard, Wyatt Spencer falling prey to a villain’s machinations, and Steffy Forrester welcoming miracle baby number two.
Eric Forrester (John McCook) wondered why Quinn seemed so suddenly gung-ho to renew their wedding vows, and she claimed that it would serve a dual purpose – it would give them a chance to recommit themselves to one another, and it would give her the opportunity to prove to Eric and their family that she was truly worthy of him.
Eric phoned Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and requested his presence at the mansion. Once Carter appeared, Eric explained the situation and asked if Carter would do him and Quinn the honor of officiating at the ceremony. Carter agreed – much to Quinn’s chagrin.
Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) did his utmost to sway Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears) into freeing him so that he could exonerate Liam (Scott Clifton) and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). Instead, Justin insisted that no one would – save for the two of them – ever become wise to the fact that Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) purposefully stepped in front of the vehicle being driven by Liam.
Justin took his leave – then made himself seem indispensable to a clearly frazzled Wyatt (Darin Brooks). Wyatt thanked Justin for so expertly handling his family’s affairs.
John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) are delighted, and taken slightly aback when the latter’s water breaks and she begins labor – right in the middle of their playing host and hostess to a visiting Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye)!
After summoning the midwife, who quickly set up the necessary equipment for the requested water birth, Steffy and Finn entered the tub, began the proper breathing exercises, and excitedly discussed names for the fast-arriving son. Once the babe makes his appearance, they decide to call him Hayes, in honor of Steffy’s mother.
Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) made a concerted effort to seek out sister Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and remind her that she’d always be there for her – especially with Bill currently out of commission.
Talk then turned to Donna’s still lingering feelings for Eric; she admits that she’ll probably always be in love with her “honey bear.”
Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) paid an imprisoned Liam yet another visit, and the two agreed that there must be more to the story where Vinny’s death is concerned.
Having failed in her attempt to talk Eric into calling off his vow renewal ceremony, Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) took to sparring with Quinn. Quinn warned her rival that she’ll no longer be welcome in the mansion if she persists with her obvious vendetta.
When the appointed day finally arrived, Quinn and Eric’s friends and family filed in one after the other. Brooke again confronted Quinn, and their contentious conversation was overheard by Paris Buckingham (Diamond White).
Paris took the opportunity provided by Brooke’s exit to have her own face-off with Quinn. Quinn, seriously unamused, threatened to ruin Paris’s life should she dare tell anyone about her and Carter’s affair.
An eavesdropping Brooke managed to pick up only bits and pieces of the exchange, but once she got Paris alone, she was able to put everything together. Brooke then halted the ceremony and browbeat Carter into confessing all to the stunned assemblage.
