Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful love to play armchair producer and/or casting director. Who wouldn’t love to see a past favorite return to his or her soap opera? Sometimes, however, the story demands a character return to the canvas. That’s what’s going on right now on the half-hour soap.

The Doctor Is In
Over half of you, nearly 52%, say that yes, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) needs his mother so, Taylor should return. Thomas hasn’t taken on the Hope mannequin to help with the rent; the guy’s in some serious trouble! In fact, the only “rent” that the Hope mannequin is partaking in is the real estate in Thomas’s mind. With no one to turn to, Thomas is going down a dark, dark path.

Taylor is devoted to her children on The Bold and the Beautiful. She refused to take life-saving drugs while pregnant with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and the late Phoebe (McKenzie Mauzy). We can’t help but think if Taylor knew what was going on with not only Thomas but Steffy, too, who’s recovering from opioid addiction, she’d be making herself a permanent L.A. resident!
Referral, Please
The rest of you, under 48%, say that you don’t think Taylor should come back. As we’ve learned from Finn (Tanner Novlan), Steffy’s new beau and ex-doctor that you shouldn’t be in a personal relationship with your patient. And you can’t get more personal than being someone’s child/mother. But Taylor doesn’t have to start seeing her kids professionally. She needs to see them as their mom.
Paging James Warwick
Taylor isn’t the only psychiatrist who’s treated patients on BB. Her mentor, Dr. James Warwick (Daytime Emmy winner Ian Buchanan), has helped characters over the years. During his most recent visit, his ex-wife Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) blackmailed James into backing off, but there’s nothing to stop Dr. Warwick from showing up again so that he can provide Taylor’s kids with some much-needed support as Steffy continues her recovery and Thomas continues to show instability.
