On Friday, June 26, the 47th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were aired. In the lead up to that prestigious event, BB presented five episodes featuring material that won a particular actor the coveted statuette.

Papa, Can You Hear Me?

Scott Clifton won the 2011 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actor for his work in an episode that saw Liam struggling with the fact that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) was his biological father.

Bill was the polar opposite of his offspring. He was a capitalist, a conniver, and, most upsettingly, he was a carnivore. Simply put, Bill was evil incarnate. And Liam just wasn’t feeling the man’s whole let’s bond as father and son spiel – he was still pretty sore about being abandoned and left to nurse an ailing mother. But Bill isn’t one to take no for an answer…

Do The Right Thing

Rome Flynn took center stage (and Emmy gold) in Tuesday’s episode, which featured Zende trying to convince Nicole (Reign Edwards) to sign papers that would solidify Maya (Karla Mosley) and Ric’s (Jacob Young) claim to the child that she birthed.

Flynn also shined in scenes opposite Obba Babatunde’s Julius Avant, whom Zende took to task for his bigoted views and harsh treatment of Maya.

Hell Hath No Fury

Susan Flannery’s nabbed her third Daytime Emmy thanks in large part to scenes featuring her character, Stephanie Forrester, confronting Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Brooke’s secret lover Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan).

First, she chastised the two for rutting like pigs in mud. Then she dissuaded Brooke of the notion that she was a heroine in her own story.

And though (nearly) the entire half-hour was a tour-de-force performance from Flannery, we can’t help but think that she won the award based solely on her delivery of the episodes most chilling line: “If you weren’t pregnant…I think I’d kill you right now.”

A Woman On The Verge

Thursday’s episode saw Katie Logan confront Steffy Forrester – her husband’s mistress. The stinging condemnation that followed, coupled with Katie’s subsequent takedown of Bill, resulted in a Daytime Emmy win for actress Heather Tom.

Liam, Don’t Preach

The week closed with a look back at the harrowing scenes that won Jacqueline MacInnes Wood her first Daytime Emmy (in the Outstanding Lead Actress category no less). In them, Steffy pleaded with her husband not to leave her despite her infidelity with his father! The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
