The Bold and the Beautiful recap for February 10-14, 2020 features Sally getting some bad news — and Katie sharing it with everyone in sight — as well as more scheming by master manipulator Thomas Forrester.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights

It’s hard to keep a secret on a soap. Especially if the said secret is that you have contracted a rare illness that will result in your death one month hence…poor Sally (Courtney Hope)!

But what is a bit unusual is a) the fact that it was a newly-acquired acquaintance of the patient who ran around spreading the news — seriously Katie, you just violated both the spirit AND the letter of HIPPA law – and b) the speed in which the story has progressed.

Sally learned about her inevitable demise on a Monday, and by Friday every interested party from Bill (Don Diamont) to Wyatt (Darin Brooks) to Flo (Katrina Bowden) were made aware of the diagnosis.

And speaking of bad secret-keeping, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) has a doozy of one that he just loves to share. And in case you haven’t been watching for the past year, the secret is that he is in mad love with Hope (Annika Noelle) — as in, his love for her has literally driven him mad.

But, even though no one is supposed to know about his obsession, he’s already told Shauna (Denise Richards), Vinny (Joe LoCicero) and Quinn (Rena Sofer). Never has a villain been so open and honest about their feelings and schemes. (Well, unless that villain is on Twitter.)

Bold Musings

Sally: “I mean, maybe…maybe they made a mistake and the lab switched my results with someone else’s.” We understand why you would think that Sally. And unless this unnamable disease suddenly goes into remission, that’s really the only viable option the script-writers have to keep you around.

Bill: “Sally has had a hard time of it. And some of that, uh, may be attributed to me.” Some of it, Bill? More like, almost every bit of adversity she has faced since arriving in Los Angeles is thanks to you. At least you kinda, sorta regret it.

Vinny: “You want Douglas to see you and Zoe together in that way, knowing he wants you to be with Hope? Man, you have got to stop using your kid. It’s such a bad idea.” Well, you know Vinny, you could always TELL someone about your bestie’s wicked ways rather than enable him.

Hope: “Thomas started giving his speech…about Zoe and how much she means to him, and then, they kissed. And it wasn’t just some innocent smooch. I mean, it was a full-on make-out session.” First, no it wasn’t. Second, it sounds like someone is uber jealous.

Thomas: “You can criticize me all you want, but at least when I commit, I mean it. I don’t waffle…you have no idea what it’s like to actually focus on one woman at a time, instead of going back and forth between Steffy and Hope every month.”

Thomas might be crazier than a loon, but he sure has Liam’s (Scott Clifton) number. The only thing he got wrong? The back and forth doesn’t take place every month…those annulments take time and when he does have to achieve a proper divorce, he has to hound Carter (Lawerence Saint-Victor) to make sure he actually files the paperwork.

To quote Wyatt, “Sally’s a strong woman…but how much is one woman suppose to take?” The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
