The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Liam Laid It All On The Line

The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, January 7, 2020, features Thomas being as honest as his twisted mind will allow (which isn’t all that much), Hope falling for his bull, Steffy getting his number, and Liam making a desperate plea.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights

At Forrester, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) admitted to Hope (Annika Noelle) that he might have said something about bringing her to Liam’s (Scott Clifton) grave but it had all been bluster.

In fact, he was the actual victim. Liam was the one who had come barreling into the office and starting casting aspersions on his rival’s new romance with Zoe (Kiara Barnes). And Hope ate up the explanation with a spoon — heck, she even thanked him for his candor and wished him and his “girlfriend” the best of luck!

Sounding Board

Liam…was not so forgiving. He reiterated the issued threat to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) who was disheartened to hear that her brother’s progress toward sound mental health was back to nil.

Furthermore, Liam confided in his ex that Thomas’ presence in his and Hope’s life was beginning to chip away at their happiness together.

He Has Spoken

Because EVERYBODY on this show has an opinion about who should be with who and who is or isn’t sane, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) informed a nosy Carter (Lawrence Saint Victor) that he doesn’t think Liam and Hope should wed — Liam, he said, belongs with Steffy.

Taking Sides

Steffy tried to take advantage of a visit from her dad to have some private bonding but he was only really interested if they invited Thomas — just as Thomas arrived.

Once inside the house, Thomas had to explain (again) how Liam had actually verbally attacked him and his “threat” was a statement taken out of context. Ridge agreed but Steffy saw right through her brother.

Liam: Who Says Romance Is Dead?

Hope arrived at the cabin to find roses, candles, champagne, and a jittery Liam. He implored her to put Beth and their family first and then — frustrated that the subject had turned to Thomas — he forcefully proposed.

“Marry me. Be my wife, and separate yourself from Thomas…” But the wedding was gonna have some strings; no more working on Hope to the Future with Thomas and no more being a mommy to Douglas! The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
