The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, January 7, 2020, features a marathon of lies, as Billy pretended not to know Amanda well, Mariah wondered what to do about Tessa deceiving her yet again, and Summer and Theo played a game of fibbing to themselves.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Billy (Jason Thompson) said goodbye to Victoria (Amelia Heinle) as she headed out of town on business. He made a gallant effort to entertain himself for minutes, before texting Amanda (Mishael Morgan) to meet him.
Billy barely sat down before he demands Amanda tell him why she thinks they’re hanging out together. (Hey, dude, you called her!) She doesn’t know.
Sharon (Sharon Case) stopped by and Billy pretended he only knows Amanda through Nate (Sean Dominic). Amanda seemed offended. Billy wondered why he lied, as the audience wondered if they’re supposed to find Billy’s navel-gazing nearly as fascinating as he does.

Mariah: Twice You Deny Her
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) sought Sharon’s advice about how to handle Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) latest deception and got some platitudes about making her own decisions. She acted like this is brilliant advice.
Mariah headed home, where Tessa was talking to Tanner (Chase Coleman). Mariah was rude to him, although none of this is his fault in any way. Mariah urged Tessa to take advantage of this great opportunity while she figured out how she feels about it.
Three Times You Deny Her
Summer (Hunter King) and Theo (Tyler Johnson) had yet another conversation where she accused him of wanting Lola (Sasha Calle), he accused her of wanting Kyle (Michael Mealor), and both pretended neither could be further from the truth.
Meanwhile, Kyle and Lola celebrated his birthday by discussing how happy they are, how much they love each other, and how bright their future is. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
