The Bold and the Beautiful recap for June 15-19, 2020 features a look back at all the times that the BOLD got RESTLESS.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
In the fictional universe occupied by the characters of BB, Los Angeles is just a hop, skip, and a jump from Walworth County in general and Genoa City in particular. As such, it’s normal for characters of both shows to move freely between the two areas. And this past week, BB presented five episodes in which members of the BOLD community welcomed some RESTLESS characters.
Destination: Death
On Monday’s episode, newlyweds Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and Eric (John McCook) frolicked around sunny Santa Catalina Island totally oblivious to the fact that Genoa City transplants Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) and Scott Grainger (Peter Barton) were right on their tail.
Now Scott had no idea why his wife had really insisted on going to visit the California Channel Island – he was too busy worrying about his impending death. Don’t you just hate those pesky (and vague) terminal illnesses that soaps like to dole out?
As for Lauren, she was bound and determined to humiliate Sheila by engineering a run-in between her, Scott and Eric – so certain was she that Scott would reveal of all his exes chicanery. Spoiler alert: He didn’t.
In point of fact, Scott never had the chance to meet Eric. He died soon after that perfectly-timed dizzy spell and he used his dying breath to beg Lauren to find it in her heart to forgive Sheila. Second Spoiler Alert: Lauren gave it the old college try but it didn’t exactly work out how Scott intended.
Business Affairs
The highlight of Tuesday’s show was the special appearance by Victor Newman (as played by Eric Braeden). He and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) had some business matters to discuss, and afterward, he granted her, “one very innocent little favor,” AKA a romantic smooch that drove Ridge (Ronn Moss) to absolute distraction.
Sure, he was supposed to be happily situated with Taylor (Hunter Tylo). But his reaction to “Logan” and Victor’s kiss proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that Ridge believed in the old adage “If I can’t have you, nobody can.”
Good News/Bad News
Wednesday’s episode featured Katherine Chancellor – the Grande Dame of Genoa City – being the bearer of both very welcome and very disturbing news. Per her father’s wishes, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) was the sole owner of Forrester Creations. (That’s the good news.)
However, Eric (John McCook) seemingly knew of this fact for years and never thought to share it with Stephanie! That was the very, very bad news….bad for Eric that is. Stephanie was not a woman who likes to be played, and that’s something that Eric is about to find out. The hard way.
Good Business
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) was the visiting dignitary in Thursday’s show, and his hosts had a big request: concoct them a fragrance that would pair oh-so-nicely with Brooke’s ultra “sexy” lingerie line.
Round Trip
The sound of wedding bells was in the air during Friday’s episode…and so were warning shots! Brooke was none-too-thrilled that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) had left Genoa City and come to stay in California, but that had more to do with her engagement to Ridge than Ashley’s performance as Forrester’s new chemist.
She let her rival for Ridge’s affection know where she stood…and it was on very dangerous ground. What the confrontation boiled down to was the implication that Ashley would be better off scurrying back home to her family in Wisconsin. Spoiler Alert: She did just that. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
