Life is pretty sweet for The Bold and the Beautiful’s Eric Forrester. If only he could get his current wife and his favorite ex-wife to bury the hatchet and become friends. But, while that is more than likely an impossibility, actor John McCook is, without doubt, about to celebrate a major milestone.
Happy Birthday, John McCook
And that’s because he was born on June 20, 1944, Ventura, California, which means that this fan-favorite performer is turning 76 years old today! McCook began his acting career in musical theater, appearing in such productions as West Side Story, Barefoot in the Park, and Mame.
Between 1976 and 1980, McCook starred on The Young and the Restless as Lance Prentiss, one of the two heirs to the Prentiss family fortune and the top man at the eponymous company situated in Genoa City.
As Lance, McCook was featured heavily in a love quadrangle which also featured his brother, Lucas (Tom Ligon), Lorie (Jamie Lyn Bauer), and Leslie (Janice Lynde; Victoria Mallory). During his time on YR, McCook was frequently called upon to sing.
