The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, January 9 was a day of mourning as Liam, Hope, and their families bid adieu to baby Beth, who died.
A Day Of Mourning
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) wasn’t sure what to say to grieving parents Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Annika Noelle). At the Forrester mansion, Eric (John McCook) comforted Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) over the loss of her granddaughter.
Katie (Heather Tom) gives the grieving parents a card made by her son Will (Finnegan George). Bill (Don Diamont), Wyatt (Darin Brooks), and Sally (Courtney Hope) arrived to give support to Liam and Hope.
Existing animosities, such as the one between Quinn (Rena Sofer) and Pam (Alley Mills), were put aside on this day of grief. Bill said Beth will always be a part of the family.
Medical Matters
Meanwhile, Dr. Buckingham (Wayne Brady) recalled Hope being in labor and how she passed out during delivery. Zoe (Kiara Barnes) mentioned to Xander (Aidan Bradley) that Beth was cremated. Reese called Zoe and told her not to come over to see him. He realized it’s not right for him to go to the gathering given the circumstances.
Finding Forrester
Thorne’s (Ingo Rademacher) absence was explained by saying he’s at home with Will, who has the flu. Hope mentioned that Rick (Jacob Young) called from Paris, but she told him to stay there.
Liam added that Hope will see Rick soon enough, which Maya overheard. Hope stoically accepted condolences from Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Taylor (Hunter Tylo). Steffy and Hope embraced.
Seek Counseling
Hope told Brooke that Taylor gave her some info on grief counseling. Taylor told Reese on the phone that he’s not to blame for what happened. Brooke thanked Taylor for reaching out to Hope.
Liam spoke to everyone assembled, wishing that Beth could have met everyone there. Hope clutched the sonogram of her baby and said she will love her forever.
