The Bold and the Beautiful recap for June 29-July 3, 2020, features a special week dedicated to episodes chosen by viewers.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights

Last week, it was all about award-winning performances. This week, the theme was “Love Conquers All” and each of the five episodes was selected by the soap’s fans. The week was chock full of romance, passion, and fireworks – both figurative and literal – and it proved that the only thing a couple truly needs to overcome overwhelming obstacles was a little thing called amour.

Leap Of Faith

Misunderstandings can be a terrible thing. Especially when they could be easily avoided. Hope (then-Kim Matula) and Liam (Scott Clifton) decided to stake their future togetherness on them both showing up at a predetermined spot at a predetermined time. If one or the other didn’t make it, then they’d forfeit their romance.

Liam didn’t make it. But it wasn’t because he was trying to send Hope a message. It was merely due to the fact that he was busy saving Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) from drowning in the Seine. However, Hope took her lover’s absence as a sign of abandonment and decided that the best way to get over him was to marry his brother…and jump off the side of a ship. Sounds like Hope.

What The World Needs Now, Is Love

Maya (Karla Mosley) and Rick’s (Jacob Young) wedding took center stage in the episode that aired on Tuesday, June 30. Julius (Obba Babatunde) and his negativity were shown the door and only peace, love, and acceptance were allowed to linger.

Passages from the works of Shakespeare and Dante Alighieri were read aloud, personalized vows were uttered and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house by the time the couple was deemed husband and wife.

Deja vu

Back in the late 1980s and early 1990s Ridge (then-Ronn Moss) found peace and tranquility with a young, innocent blonde named Caroline Spencer (Joanna Johnson) – but only after he spent years flip-flopping between her and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang).

So, decades later, he decided to try his luck with his dead ex’s namesake niece. It was indeed as weird as it sounds. And no, the relationship was not built to last. For some reason, Caroline the Younger preferred Ridge’s more age-appropriate son, Thomas.

United We Stand…

Sometimes, it’s necessary to make a stand against evil incarnate – even it means breaking the heart of an old man in the process. Sure, none of the Forresters relished the idea of hurting Eric (John McCook) but they just couldn’t stomach the idea of him marrying that horrible Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) person…and they especially couldn’t abide him hanging her portrait above the fireplace. This family has a thing about portraits and fireplaces.

Kuddos All Around

Hope and Liam went through a lot to be together. A LOT. And just when it seemed that the two my be pulled apart forever, they were suddenly gifted an unexpected, but thoroughly appreciated baby. If that’s not the universal sign for ‘get the frig back together’ we don’t know what it is. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
