The Bold and the Beautiful was the first daytime drama and perhaps the first scripted show in all of television to get back into production over the summer following an industry-wide shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. BB led the way in devising safety protocols so that the show could go on. Now, the half-hour soap is celebrating a milestone.
As of this week, BB has produced 100 episodes since returning to production earlier this year! Cast members wore masks with the show’s logo and the number 100 on them to commemorate this remarkable achievement. “Thank you so much to the team at @boldandbeautifulcbs and to all the fans out there who demanded new episodes of #boldandbeautiful!!” posted Rena Sofer (Quinn) on Instagram.
“We made it to 100 days of filming since the #pandemic started,” the Daytime Emmy-winner added. “We are so proud to be back at work and bringing the show we love filming to the people who love watching us!!! #Bold100 @cbstv.”
“We’ve shot 100 episodes since we’ve been back in production!!” cheered Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter). “I’m so AMAZED by our incredible team who brought us back and brought us back safely. Thank you to all of our supporters, who supported us, as we weathered this crazy time. ❤️❤️❤️ #Bold100 #BoldandBeautiful.”
“Today we celebrated 💯 episodes since returning to production,” noted Thorsten Kaye (Ridge). “We couldn’t have done it without you, our fans. Thank you! #bold100 #BoldandBeautiful @boldandbeautifulcbs.”
In response to Kaye, one fan, @ltudorin posted: “Congratulations 👍❤️ you say you wouldn’t have made it without your fans…, well I guess your fans wouldn’t have made without you all too…in the sense about enjoying your work and forgetting about for a moment how crazy the world has become.
“B&B not only tells a story but sends out a message and that message is important to be understood as it teaches the audience about real life events and how we can learn to handle them with a positive outcome.”
John McCook (Eric) also donned his mask and said, “100 episodes since coming back from the Covid shut-down!! So blessed to be able to bring the show to our fans!!” The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
