Several interesting conversations occurred in the Wednesday, April 10 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. First, Deacon’s ten-toe mantras increased in intensity as he explained to Finn that he thought Sheila was alive. Second, both Poppy and Zende suddenly accepted Luna’s urge to tell RJ the truth. And, finally, Liam expressed his POV to Steffy and it had nothing to do with wanting to get back together with her.
During Liam’s (Scott Clifton) conversation with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), they discussed Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). They also chatted about Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) weird behavior since Sheila died. But, that wasn’t all they talked about. At one point, Steffy turned the tables and asked her ex what was happening with him. And he finally conveyed self-awareness about what was going on with him and what he wanted his immediate future to look like.
Liam: I’m hanging in there. I’m focusing on Beth and Kelly and work. Actually, I don’t know. I think maybe, maybe I’m doing some soul-searching and asking myself kind of uncomfortable questions.
Steffy: Like what?
Liam: Like am I the kind of man that I want to see either of them with? Not really. I was accused of waffling over the years. I’m guilty as charged the way I went back and forth between you and Hope over and over and over again. I gotta figure out who I am. And maybe…Maybe I just want to be dad for a little while. Be the best dad that I can be for my daughters.
He said that he was concentrating on his kids, Beth (Jordyn Lynn Ariza) and Kelly (Sophia McKinlay). He also mentioned soul-searching and how this involved asking himself uncomfortable questions. These kinds of references to off-camera situations are welcome because Liam is prime for a change. (Find out what’s happening on B&B tomorrow)
While Steffy and Finn are having a rough go at it right now, they are committed to going through the turbulence together.
Meanwhile, Hope’s going through her own soul-searching journey times two. Her whole relationship with Thomas was borne out of her taking stock of her life and realizing she wanted to focus on herself and be part of a relationship with a man devoted to her. She’s currently going through it all over again because Thomas left Los Angeles and fled to Paris with Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri).
Liam even referred to his penchant for waffling between Hope and Steffy through the years. Calling out his own waffling was pretty self-aware. It’s a term B&B fans have used to describe his flakiness with Hope and Steffy.
It was nice to see him realize the damage his waffling created. Also, he admitted that maybe he should try to be a better man. But some questions need to be asked:
