The Met Gala is the biggest fashion event of the year. It’s the place where you want to be seen. Getting an invite is hard because it’s highly selective and exclusive. The Met Gala is invite-only, by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. However, that’s not stopping The Bold and the Beautiful models from trying.
Rolling Up To The Met Gala
On Monday, May 5, the official B&B Instagram account shared glamorous looks. The models put out all the stops in looks from the House of Forrester. (Check out the photos from the launch of Forrester Creations’ new couture collection.)
The first shot showed the models wearing evening gowns in various colors, ranging from emerald green and gold to black lace and glittery lavender. The rest of the post showed each of the models in the gowns. One model wore a breathtaking baby blue dress with a lace bodice. Another model stunned in a bright purple gown with a matching headscarf.
One of our favorites is the glittery gown, which features shades of gold, green, brown, and rust. This creation gave us autumnal feels. The model paired the look with an embellished choker. B&B’s caption read: “How we would pull up to the Met Gala. ⭐️📸”
This Year’s Theme
Each year, the Met Gala has a theme. This year’s theme was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which coordinates with the Costume Institute exhibit of the same name. Monday night’s event celebrated Black dandyism and style. The dress code for the red carpet event was “Tailored For You,” which was a nod to menswear.
