The Bold and the Beautiful’s Matthew Atkinson and longtime girlfriend, Brytnee Ratledge, took advantage of the show’s recent location shoot in Rome to enjoy a little real-life romance. Now the actor shared some happy news.

Matthew Atkinson and Brynee Ratledge: Put A Ring On It

While Atkinson’s character, Thomas Forrester, has been unlucky in romance, Matthew Atkinson has been experiencing some serious amore with Ratledge and took to Instagram to share that the couple was making it official…they are engaged!

With a simple statement, the actor expressed his deep-seated joy, “Living, breathing proof of God’s faithfulness.” The jubilant couple shared photos spotlighting her ring and castmates were quick to chime in their congratulations.

Courtney Hope (ex-Sally, B&B; currently on Y&R) responded, “Yahhhhhh congrats!” while on-screen mom, Krista Allen (Taylor), was clearly ecstatic, “Yessssss!!!! I love you both to the moon and back!!! Congratulations!!!”

The men of The Bold and the Beautiful sent their high fives. Tanner Novlan, who plays his on-screen brother-in-law Dr. John Finnegan, sent his good wishes, “Biggest congratulations guys!!!” Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter, B&B) added, “CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!” and Delon de Metz (Zende, B&B) seconded the motion, “Ayyy congratulations!!!!”

Friends from other shows shared their happiness for the couple, like Chad Duell (Michael, General Hospital), who posted, “Woo! Congrats!” and Tamara Braun (ex-Ava, DAYS; ex-Carly, GH) was so overcome with joy all she sent was a series of heart emojis. 

Ratledge, who is also an actress, has most recently been seen in Prime Video’s Outer Range and TV’s The Goldbergs and in films, Frankie Meets Jack and Cry Macho. She was so moved by the responses (or maybe it was the engagement?) that she added a comment after one of the posts, “I’M STILL CRYING!!!!!!”
