The Bold and the Beautiful’s Liam Spencer seems to have lost his mind over Steffy again but there is always some over-the-top drama lurking beneath the surface. But outside the show, actor Scott Clifton has an important milestone to celebrate.
Happy Birthday, Scott Clifton
That’s because he was born on October 31, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, which means that this talented performer is turning 38 years old today! Clifton became enchanted with the world of acting at the age of 9 after receiving a copy of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet from his mother.
He pursued a career in the performing arts world and landed a number of commercials when he was 16. His first television role was a guest spot on the science fiction program Roswell, which was followed closely by a four-episode arc on the MTV serial Undressed.
After a guest appearance on the CBS primetime drama Judging Amy, Clifton joined the cast of the ABC daytime drama General Hospital. He debuted in April of 2003, portraying legacy character Dillon Quartermaine, and remained with the soap for four years.
Following his decision to exit GH, Clifton joined the cast of fellow ABC soap One Life to Live in the role of Schuyler Joplin — though the character would prove short-lived. Two months after his OLTL exit, Clifton auditioned for a part on the CBS serial The Bold and the Beautiful and landed the job.
For his work as William ‘Liam’ Spencer, Clifton has won three Daytime Emmy Awards — one each for Outstanding Younger Actor (2011), Outstanding Supporting Actor (2013), and Outstanding Lead Actor (2017).
Aside from his acting career, the musically-inclined Clifton — who is an extremely proficient guitarist and songwriter — is known for his two full-length albums of original songs. So Much for the Nightlife was released in 2006, and it was followed by another, entitled Mannequin.
