Happy birthday, Jennifer Gareis.
There’s never a dull moment where the Logan ladies are concerned — a fact that many The Bold and the Beautiful fans can attest to. At the moment, Donna has plenty going on since she has her guy, and her sisters seem to be happy as well. Luckily, life is even better for Jennifer Gareis, who has a very special milestone to celebrate.
And that’s because she was born on August 1, 1970, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, which means that this fan-favorite performer is turning 53 years old today! After attending and graduating from both Franklin & Marshall College and Pepperdine University — with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MBA, respectively — Gareis relocated to New York, where she started modeling.
Gareis’s first (uncredited) acting role was in the Barbra Streisand romantic comedy-drama The Mirror Has Two Faces. In 1997, she joined the cast of The Young and the Restless and assumed the role of Grace Turner, previously played by Josie Davis.
She remained at the soap until 2000 while continuing to accept small roles in feature films like Private Parts, Lifebreath, Enough Already, and Gangland. After she exited daytime, Gareis continued to act, but she did so primarily in nighttime television and film — though she did reprise the Grace Turner part in 2002 and 2004.
Her subsequent credits include guest spots in episodes of Diagnosis: Murder (which starred fellow Y&R actress Victoria Rowell) and Veronica Mars, as well as roles in films such as The 6th Day, Miss Congeniality, Downward Angel, Boat Trip, and Venus on the Halfshell.
Jennifer Gareis returned to daytime television in the summer of 2006 when she took over the character of Donna Logan on the CBS serial The Bold and the Beautiful. She made her debut on July 20 of that year, and she has continued to appear (on and off) ever since.
Gareis has been married to Bobby Ghassemieh since March 7, 2010. The couple has two children together: a son, Gavin Blaze (born June 11, 2010), and a daughter, Sophia Rose (born June 29, 2012). In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, yoga, and biking.
