Though it’s been 11 years since Ronn Moss was seen as Ridge Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, he remains a firm fan favorite. He’s also currently celebrating a major milestone.
Happy Birthday, Ronn Moss
That’s because he was born on March 4, 1952, in Los Angeles, California, which means that this beloved actor is turning 71 years old today! In 1976, Moss helped form the band PLAYER and eventually found himself signed to Robert Stigwood’s RSO Records label.
In 1978, the group’s single Baby Come Back reigned as number one on the national pop charts for three straight weeks. That success was followed by This Time I’m In It for Life, which peaked at number 10 later that same year.
In 1987, Moss landed the lead role in the Andy Sidaris-directed feature Hard Ticket to Hawaii, as well as a starring role in the CBS daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. On the latter project, Moss played Ridge Forrester, dress designer by day, a voracious playboy by night.
Moss remained in that role until August 11, 2012, at which time the character was briefly retired before being recast with Thorsten Kaye. Moss’s other acting credits include a stint on Flemish serial Familie and a starring role in The Bay — an online series that he also produces.
Outside of his acting, Moss is known for winning second place in the Italian version of Dancing with the Stars, playing himself in an episode of General Hospital, touring with his band, and making new music.
