The Bold and the Beautiful’s Dr. Bridget Forrester hasn’t had screen time as of late. But her portrayer, actress Ashley Jones, is busy celebrating a major milestone event.
And that’s because she was born on September 3, 1976, in Memphis, Tennessee, which means that this talented soap hopper is turning 46 years old today! At the age of 5, Jones filmed her first commercial.
By the time she was 9, she was starring in such classic theatrical productions as The Women, Ah, Wilderness!, and Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memories at the Actors Theatre of Houston. At age 12, she was cast in Enid Bagnold’s The Chalk Garden.
Between 1997 and 2001, Jones played Megan Dennison in the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless and received two Daytime Emmy Award nominations for her efforts.
Three years later, she joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful and assumed the role of Bridget Forrester – picking up where incumbent actress Emily Harrison had left off. Jones remained on contract status with the show until November 2010, at which point she was placed on recurring status.
That arrangement remained in place until February 2012. Jones has subsequently appeared on the soap in a guest star capacity. Her other acting credits include a supporting role in the second season of True Blood and guest appearances in a number of primetime programs including Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, The District, Without a Trace, Criminal Minds, and Major Crimes.
Jones is also well known for appearing in a plethora of Lifetime Original Movies. A sampling of work includes A Teacher’s Crime, Dead at 17, Secrets From Her Past, House, A Sister’s Revenge, and The Secret Sex Life of Single Mom. Jones has also appeared on General Hospital in the role of Parker Forsyth.
