Some big daytime stars are celebrating their birthdays in September. Soap Hub has compiled all the dates, so you can send your favorite actors and actresses you love your best wishes via X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram. Or you could go the old-fashioned route and mail them an actual card.
If you are a Virgo (August 22 – September 22), here are some of your traits. Virgo is the sixth sign of the zodiac and is an earth sign symbolized by the virgin or the maiden of the harvest. As summer turns to fall, we enter the Virgo season. The ruling planet, Mercury, oversees communication, transportation, curiosity, and research. Virgos are known for their analytical thought, their detail-orientated skills, their service to others, and their sensitive heart. A mutable sign, Virgos are flexible and can make adjustments as needed.
A Virgo working on their most positive strengths will be empathic, creative, organized, adaptable, supportive, health-oriented, giving to a fault, great at communication, and a natural lover of language and knowledge. Everyone needs a good Virgo in their corner. In love, Virgos are loyal, devoted, thoughtful, and intuitive. At their most negative, Virgos can be critical, clean freaks, detached, judgemental, nitpicky, too focused on details to see the big picture, excessively independent, and workaholics. Best matches include a thoughtful Taurus, a sensitive Cancer, a traditional-minded Capricorn, and an evolved Scorpio working on their healer energy.
Party time officially begins on September 2. That’s the day General Hospital’s Cynthia Watros (Nina Reeves) turns 55.
The revelry continues on September 3. Trevor St. John (Tucker McCall, The Young and the Restless) is turning 52, while Ashley Jones, who comes and goes as Bridget Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, is turning 47.
The party train veers over to Days of our Lives on September 4, when Lindsay Arnold (ex-Allie Horton) turns 24. The next day, September 5, another Salem alumna, Kristian Alfonso (ex-Hope Brady), celebrates a birthday milestone — # 60.
Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer Cassadine, GH) commemorates his special day on September 6. The actor is turning 24.
On September 7, William Utay, who originated the role of Dr. Rolf on DAYS, celebrates his 76th birthday.
Chandler Massey (ex-Will Horton, DAYS) is going the cake and candles route on September 10. The actor is turning 33. That same day, Jacob Young (ex-Rick, B&B; ex-Lucky, GH) marks his 44th trip around the sun.
GH’s Laura Wright (Carly Spencer, GH) is toasting her birthday, too. The actress turns 53 on September 11.
Meanwhile, Wright’s GH co-star Roger Howarth (Austin Gatlin-Holt) will also be in party mode. He turns 55 on September 13. That same day, Jason Cook (ex-Shawn; DAYS; ex-Matt, GH) turns 43.
There’s a double reason to celebrate in daytime land on September 14. Soap Stars Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers, Y&R; ex-Nina Reeves, GH) turns 57, and Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos, GH) turns 36.
GH newcomer Kate Mansi (Kristina Davis), who’s also fondly remembered as DAYS’ Abigail Deveraux DiMera, toasts another lap around the sun on September 15. She’s turning 36.
Billy Miller (ex-Drew Cain, GH; ex-Billy Abbott, Y&R) commemorates his natal day on September 17. He’ll have 44 candles on his cake this year.
GH’s Tanisha Harper (Jordan Ashford) deserves some hearty best wishes, too. The lovely actress will be 38 on September 18.
A pair of daytime leading ladies, who haven’t been onscreen in a long while, share September 19 as their birthday. Soap stars Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami Brady, DAYS) turns 47, and Katrina Bowden (Flo Fulton, B&B) turns 35.
There’s another double reason to celebrate on September 21. Brytni Sarpi (Elena Dawson, Y&R) turns 36, while GH’s Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli, GH) turns 43.
GH veteran Lynn Herring, who plays the unstoppable Lucy Coe, may raise a glass of bubbly on September 22. That’s the day she turns 65. Sharing Herring’s natal day is also Michael Graziadei, who portrays Daniel Romalotti of Y&R. He’s turning 44.
If you are a Libra (September 23 – October 22), here are some of your traits. Libra is the seventh sign of the zodiac and is an air sign symbolized by the scales of justice. As we more fully step into the fall season, we enter the Libra season — ruled by Venus, the planet that governs love, beauty, and money. Libras are focused on balance and harmony. Libras love art, fashion, intellectualism, and being surrounded by beauty. Accordingly, these air signs make excellent attorneys, designers, decorators, art critics, and stylists.
Libras are focused on companionship and relationships. The ladies like a sharp-dressed man. The men like attractive arm candy. And if someone outside their relationship finds them attractive, well, it is very appealing. A good place for their sense of balance and fairness to step in.
Negative traits of Libras are taking the opposite side of any argument just for the sake of it, indecision, not trusting their own intuition, being too mindful of what others think, attention-seeking outside the boundaries of their relationships, over-spending, and people-pleasing to a fault.
Former GH fave, Ryan Paevy (ex-Nathan West) celebrates on September 24; he’s turning 39.
DAYS’ vet Josh Taylor (Roman Brady) is having a milestone birthday this year. He turns The Big 8-0 on September 25.
A Martinez, best remembered as Cruz Castillo on Santa Barbara and last seen as Eduardo Hernandez on DAYS, also has reason to celebrate. He’s turning 75 on September 27. That same day, fellow DAYS alum Patrick Muldoon celebrates number 55.
Heading back over to Y&R, two beloved soap stars will be partying on September 28. Leading lady Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) turns 42, and the lovely Susan Walters (Diane Jenkins) turns 60. A former GH star and a current one are also celebrating today. Matt Cohen (ex-Griffin) turns 41, while Vernee Watson (Stella) turns 74.
The month of festivities comes to a close on September 29 with a big birthday for a big daytime star. Drake Hogestyn (John Black, DAYS) turns 70.
The beginning of the month finds Virgo working overtime in the Sun and in Mercury (which is still in retrograde). The good news is Venus, the loving planet of relationships, is going out of its retrograde phase on September 3rd — time for some self-care and clarity in your relationships. The bad news — Jupiter goes into retrograde on the following day, calling for four months of reflecting on our own personal belief systems and our relationship with abundance. Where can we make adjustments to bring more quality and quantity into our lives?
A New Moon on September 14th offers us an opportunity to let go of any emotional or physical baggage we may be carrying and give us a fresh start as we enter the autumn equinox. The Sun and the Moon mix it up with Uranus to surprise us with how it plays out. Mercury in Retrograde ends the next day, giving us an extra push forward so we can start activating our plans. On the 23rd, the Sun enters Libra and lights up action-oriented Mars, giving us a green light and giving balance along the way.
The end of the month gifts us with a magical grand earth trine that involves Jupiter (expansion, enterprise, luck), Mercury (communication, logic, adaptability), and the Moon (emotions, intuition, empathy), offering comfort and clarity as we move to the next phase. Also, at work, romantic Venus and chatty Mercury mix it up with Uranus, causing sudden changes of heart or new ideas out of nowhere. On September 29, the month climaxes with a Full Moon in Aries, reminding us to embrace our independence, speak our truth, and compromise but not at the expense of our own desires.
