With 40 years at CBS daytime TV under his belt, and saying a bittersweet goodbye to TV City as The Bold and the Beautiful moved its production to Sunset Las Palmas, Don Diamont has a lot to be thankful for. He’s always got something going on that he shares with his fans, including a fun trip to Hawaii and the graduation of his sons. He recently took part in an interview in Amsterdam and wrote enthusiastically about it on social media.

Flying for Dummies

On Instagram, Diamont (Bill) shared a huge number of photos with a detailed caption that read, “So flying a large commercial jet is harder than we thought. Thankfully, [wife, Cindy Ambuehl], [Anton Ambuehl], and I are nothing if not thinkers, so we opened the glove compartment and lo and behold found a Flying For Dummies pamphlet. We’re quick studies, so problem solved. Push a button here. Slide a handle there and voilà!”

He hilariously continued with his joke, writing, “We got ourselves and our passengers from LAX to Amsterdam safely! There was some well-deserved patting ourselves on the back! As far as Amsterdam is concerned, what a special canal and bike-centric city! Absolutely beautiful! We had a blast exploring and spending time with our Dutch friends. My maternal great-grandparents immigrated to the United States from Holland, so it was very cool to finally get there. Thanks to @kees_de_bevers, @rtlboulevard  for a fun interview. On to Munich…”

Diamont Visits the Diamant Museum

The pictures included Diamont with his wife and son in the cockpit of the plane, them enjoying the sights in Amsteram and hanging out with his relatives, and a few shots from the interview. There were also snaps of yummy desserts, and even one of the B&B star standing in front of the “Diamant Museum.” Many fans from Amsterdam welcomed Diamont and his family in the post.

The person Diamont had thanked was Dutch reality television personality and manager Kees de Bever (Stevens), who shared a behind-the-scenes clip of his interview with Diamont. He wrote, “Ik was op geheime missie voor @shownieuws ! Wat was het een bijzondere dag! 🧡🎥 #DollarBill,” which translates as, “I was on a secret mission for @shownieuws! What a special day it was!”
