Beloved soap star Vincent Irizarry has been all over the soap world. From playing David Hayward on All My Children to Dr. Jordan Armstrong on The Bold and the Beautiful, as well as several other soap appearances in between, he’s become a fan favorite. Although Dr. Buckingham could probably use Jordan’s help saving Liam’s life on B&B, the actor has been busy with real-world issues. He recently took to social media to share some devastating news with his friends, family, and fans.
She Made Gatherings Special
According to Soaps, he shared some sad news on a now-defunct Instagram story, writing, “Yesterday morning, our beautiful mother passed away with her family surrounding her.” The report continued to explain that there would be a memorial in New York in July for Carmella “Millie” (Russo) Irizarry, who died on April 5.
He thanked his fans for sending him so much love, support, and prayers, sharing, “We are blessed for the gift she was to us.” Her obituary lovingly stated that “close to her heart were family gatherings and holidays in which she always went over and above to make special and unique for all.”

Family and Friends Paid Tribute
Carmella Irizarry’s obituary continued to explain that “her greatest legacy is her beautiful face, and bright smile, her devout faith, along with the immense love she had for and shared with her family and friends,” and that she would be missed by everyone she touched in life.
Irizarry had been married to Frank Irizarry since 1955, and the two had six kids, 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She and Frank first met when they were 9 years old, creating a love story for the ages.
