Ever since Sheila stalked her prey, broke into Steffy’s Malibu beach house, and ended up on the wrong end of a butcher knife, fans have been talking. Many have watched The Bold and the Beautiful for over 30 years. They know Sheila is virtually impossible to eliminate permanently. She’s faked her death every which way, and fans aren’t buying this particular kill for one second. It was too easy. In fact, there’s a popular theory making the rounds, and it’s fast becoming consensus.
Clearly, Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) last confrontation at Deacon (Sean Kanan) and Sheila’s place above Il Giardino triggered something, causing Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) to snap. She says she’s been trying to live her life with Deacon and not antagonize anyone. All she wanted to figure out how to be part of her son’s life. Simple needs and wants were what she was all about. But, ultimately, she reverted back to base instincts. Once again, she did what she always does, she resorted to revenge. If she is dead, she’s playing a long game.
This is why viewers know with every fiber of their beings that Sheila isn’t dead. Instead, the main theory is she sent in Sugar to be the sacrificial lamb. Who’s Sugar, you say? The B&B history at play here involves a prison warden (Robin Mattson’s Sugar) who helped inmate Sheila escape back around 2003. One thing led to another, and the two terrorized Ridge Forrester (then Ronn Moss) and his half-brother Nick Marone (Jack Wagner).
Later on down the road, in Genoa City, Kimberlin Brown showed up at her old haunts on The Young and the Restless. There, Sheila had the perfect plan. She tricked and treated her “friend”, Sugar, to plastic surgery and made her look identical to her. And then, basically, threw her under the bus when she let her take the wrap for one of her many crimes. After Sugar escaped, she tried to kill someone near and dear to Sheila and Lauren (Scott Grainger), but it didn’t work, and she was sent to prison for good.
Remember the recent B&B episode when Deacon asked Sheila where she disappeared to? She never truly answered him. But she completely could have hightailed it to wherever Sugar was and struck a deal that backfired on the ex-warden once again. After all, we never really heard the stalker utter a word. And if it was Sugar, she had absolutely no self-protection skills. She basically charged right into Steffy’s knife.
And now “Sheila” is dead. The medical examiner might not even do due diligence because there’s no way it’s someone other than Sheila Carter, right? If that body was truly Sugar and not Sheila, then it means the nine-toed wonder will live to terrorize another day. This time, she may return to Genoa City and slink around looking for her old nemesis, Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman).
Or maybe she’ll round up the various kids she hasn’t mentioned in the last few years (Daisy, Ryder, Mary, Diana) and either introduce them to Finn (Tanner Novlan) or come up with a family plan to make mayhem and madness in both LA and Genoa City simultaneously.
Regardless, the show is really trying to convince the world that Sheila’s gone for good. Do you think Sheila’s really dead? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
