After 38 years at CBS Television City, The Bold and the Beautiful has officially moved into a new home. In August, the cast and crew gathered for a fun ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate their first day at Sunset Las Palmas Studios. Many cast members shared behind-the-scenes peeks at the show’s new digs, and everyone is brimming with anticipation and hope for the future. Executive producer and head writer Brad Bell recently revealed some of the fun things that lie ahead, including some special surprises.
Hidden Easter Eggs, Fashion Front and Center
Bell talked to People about the changes that are coming. He also teased that viewers will spot subtle nods to the relocation in the show’s first episode, filmed at the new lot. He noted that in the very first episode taped at Las Palmas, “there will be some hidden little Easter eggs,” adding, “If you look closely, I think you’ll find them.”
With the move comes a return to the show’s fashion roots. Bell explained that the new era “is going to be highlighting fashion much more than we have in the past, much more frequently.” Fans will get to see some great fashion battles moving forward, with fights perhaps being resolved on the runway.

Forward the Future
The transition also stirred up memories of Bell’s late father, William J. Bell, co-creator of B&B and The Young and the Restless. Bell explained that since age 10, he’d accompanied his parents to the Television City set, where he assisted his father for about a decade. He fondly recalled the commute and the lunches in his dad’s office. He was grateful to have had that time together.
Bell felt that Dad would be proud of the new changes. He also speculated that he would say, “‘Just go. Just go be you. Make it your own.’” The cast members rallied behind the exciting change, posting all about the move on social media. As Bell put it, “This is our world, and if you’re interested in coming to our world, we can show you a world that we’re so proud of and that really represents what we do.”
