We haven’t seen much of Romy Park’s Poppy on The Bold and the Beautiful lately. But now her story is heating up again, especially when dealing with her imprisoned daughter Luna, who’s in jail for her murderous ways. Park took some time to discuss several aspects of playing Poppy, including what the character’s career likely is.
She’s Got Good Flower Power
Park has shared several videos of her dancing on social media, and recently explained to supervising producer, Casey Kasprzyk, on his YouTube show Bold Live, that dancing is just a hobby. Answering fan questions, she also explained that her favorite scenes so far were the ones where Poppy and Bill (Don Diamont) broke up after the Luna (Lisa Yamada) reveal.
Without giving anything away, the two teased that there would be more in store for her character, including a possible romance. One fan asked, “What’s Poppy’s occupation?” Kasprzyk bluntly stated that no one knows at this juncture. Park chimed in, “We don’t know. But…she’s made jewelry. She mentioned that. She’s worked at farmers’ markets and Li (Naomi Matsuda) has mentioned several times that, you know, she makes her hippie clothes,” which she sells at various festivals.

She’s a Far Out Etsy Vendor
Kasprzyk mentioned that when we were first introduced to Poppy and Luna, they seemed to be doing all right because they had a nice-looking apartment (before it was condemned). Park agreed and also speculated that Poppy has a remote job because she had once mentioned getting back to work around the time Eric (John McCook) was sick. In Parks’ mind, she filled in details of what Poppy does like, “Oh, she probably just sells stuff on Etsy.”
“Whether or not that’s gonna change, which it probably will at some point,” she stated, adding, “Then I will embrace that when it comes…right now…I sell jewelry on Etsy. That’s what I’ve decided.” Kasprzyk was particularly quiet after she made that last statement, so it’s well within the realm of possibility that for Poppy to stay on the show, she’ll get scooped up as a designer by Forrester’s jewelry line.
