There’s a method to Brooke’s madness. On Thursday’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, she willingly took on her new role as CEO. But first, there was an announcement that she had to make. Brooke shared a cryptic message to Ridge, hoping he would understand what she meant. But Ridge is not too good with putting the pieces of the puzzle together.
Say Hello to the New CEO
On the December 19th episode, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) was pushed into a corner. Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Hope (Annika Noelle) assured her she was perfect for the role. After all, she has successfully run Forrester Creations before. (Check out her successes for yourself.) It’s not like she got the job for nepo reasons. Or is it?
Forrester Creations held a surprise press announcement. The press has been telling them about the corporate shakeup. So, they had to address it, for once and for all. Brooke made an impromptu speech about her new role as CEO of FC. She even addressed herself as “Brooke Logan Forrester” despite not being married to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). She hasn’t been a Forrester in a long time. She’s been waiting for a wedding band, and it doesn’t look like she’s getting it anytime soon.
Brooke also shared a secret message that seemed like it was for her ex-fiance. She assured him that the company “was in good hands.” But Ridge didn’t understand what she was saying. Once again, he let his rage get the better of him. (Did he take things too far?)
The Shocking Plot Twist
Zende (Delon De Metz) is there to provide intel, but he doesn’t hide his frustration about the coup. He asks Brooke how she can accept this hostage takeover situation. She tells him that she doesn’t agree with it either.
There’s a shocking twist behind her plan. Brooke wants to give back the company to Eric (John McCook), Steffy (Jaqueline MacInnes Wood), and Ridge. However, Ridge has a hard time understanding that. Once again, he’s thinking with his pants rather than his mind or his heart.
He has no idea where he stands with Brooke. Yet, he was the one who left her. He might throw his entire relationship with Brooke away by having another go with Taylor (Rebecca Budig). Brooke wants to save the family company. She’s willing to go against Hope and Carter. And yet, Ridge is headed in a different direction. Is FC worth saving when your man is already straying?
