Bold and the Beautiful’s Matthew Atkinson Celebrates His Wife

For several months, The Bold and the Beautiful fans have been demanding that Matthew Atkinson be allowed to return and reprise his role as Thomas. Hope is currently allied with Carter and the two staged a swift and merciless takeover of Forrester Creations. The fans feel it is time for Thomas to come back and perhaps rein Hope in. While they await this possible turn of events, Atkinson took some time to honor his real world wife on her birthday.

He’s Head Over Heels

Atkinson and actress Brytnee Ratledge got married in November 2023, and in November 2024 the couple announced they were preparing to have their first child, who entered this world shortly thereafter. Recently, on Instagram, Atkinson paid tribute to his loving wife by sharing a photo of her and writing, “You know those moments when all you want is to express the deepest gratitude and love, and none of the words that come to mind are good enough? That’s me, right now.”

He continued praising his lovely spouse, stating, “This woman is clearly an angel, sent from God. I suspect you might think of that as a metaphor…I don’t think it is. She shows the agape that IS God’s love to more souls than I have time to count. Yea, I’m jumping to Greek, biblical words…because it’s necessary. She’s never jealous, always forgiving. She’s talented at everything she puts her mind to. She’s beautiful, cute, funny, and sexy all at the same time.”

His Happiness Is Boundless

The B&B star then concluded his touching homage with: “To top it off: she’s my wife, and recently the mother to our first child. She’s fierce, protective, and the strongest woman I know. She is the embodiment of captivating. It’s her birthday, and the most deserving of celebration. I love you, Bryt.” B&B producer Rachel Herman shared some heart emojis, while The Young and the Restless’ Courtney Hope (Sally) responded with, “🥹love her and you! How beautiful! Happy birthday @brytneeratledge.”

In and around tons of birthday wishes, fans implored Atkinson to return to the show as one begged, “Happy birthday to your gorgeous wife! Please come back to B&B…….pleeeeze.” Another slyly slipped in their wish by commenting, “Happy Birthday to your beautiful wife. If you come back to B&B I will start watching again.” 

But staying on point, one follower lovingly wrote, “Happy Birthday @brytneeratledge 🎈🎉❤️ Such fitting words for such an inspiring and beautiful soul. Love you both! Can’t wait to celebrate you and see what this year ahead holds for you 🙌🏼❤️.”
