New year, a new lease on life. Luna broke free from prison during the Thursday, January 2nd episode. Bill has power and connections that he uses to his advantage. He allowed Luna somewhat of a free and normal life on The Bold and the Beautiful.
New Rules
And just like that…Luna (Lisa Yamada) got what she wanted. She got the keys to Bill’s (Don Diamont) kingdom. She wanted to know why he broke her free from jail. But there’s just one thing. She’s not entirely free. She’s currently under house arrest.
Luna wore an ankle monitor. Bill explained that he used his money and connections to make a deal with the authorities. Though he was short on words, he made some quick decisions. Bill convinced the authorities to release her from prison since she was in grave danger and remorseful for her actions.
But now she’s living in Bill’s house. That means she has to deal with new rules. The first rule is not to screw up. If she screws up, she goes back to the big house. The second rule is that no one can know that she’s living under Bill’s roof—not even her own mother. It’s still unclear how that will work since Poppy (Romy Park) occasionally visits her daughter in jail.

But Why?
The most important question is…Why? Why is Bill doing this all for a cold-blooded murderer? The two trauma-bonded over their terrible childhoods while Luna was in jail. In the letters, Bill could notice that Luna was truly remorseful for what happened. She claimed that a murderer is not who she truly is.
Bill has a longer list of sins and crimes, most of which he doesn’t identify with. But, he knows what it’s like to be an outcast. Also, he’s feeling lonely these days since Katie (Heather Tom) and Will (Crew Morrow) don’t want to live with him. Bill feels it’s his responsibility to pay it forward to someone else. He wants to repay for the hurt and pain he’s caused others.
He might also enjoy having his ego stroked, and a young woman with a raging crush on him will do that. What would happen if Luna were to act on her feelings? Would she go back to prison? Or would she end up as Bill’s new main squeeze?
