The Bold and the Beautiful’s Lisa Yamada is excited to find out what’s next for Luna. She began as an innocuous intern with stars in her eyes, but turned out to be a homicidal maniac. And although she got sent up the river, she came floating back when Bill rescued her from being beaten daily and transferred her incarceration to his cushy mansion. Luna’s been yelling to anyone who can hear that she’s learned the error of her ways, but has she? Yamada chimed in about what Luna may have up her sleeve.
She’s Sometimes Sincere, Sometimes Not
It’s still unclear whether Luna is truly remorseful for murdering Tom (Clint Howard) and Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers), as well as trapping Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in a building slated for demolition. Yamada spoke with Soaps recently, explaining that when we see Luna, she likes to change things up, depending on how her portrayer feels. “Some days, I’m like, ‘Let’s play her sincere,’ and other days, I’m thinking, ‘Wait, but she killed two people… let’s mix it up a bit!’” she gleefully shared.
Bill (Don Diamont) feels he can relate to her because they both had crappy upbringings. Luna’s excuse for her actions is that she didn’t have a father figure growing up. But now, Finn (Tanner Novlan) has been revealed to be her bio-daddy, and she has a renewed hope for redemption, or at least a relationship with him. However, that pesky stumbling block of her trying to kill Steffy keeps getting in the way as Yamada hilariously noted that upon the reveal, Luna was thinking, “Oh shoot, and I locked his wife in a cage…What do we do about that?”

A Deadly Duo
Although Steffy wants to send her back to prison, Yamada remarked, “But Luna is quick on her feet, and she’s a master manipulator. I have faith that she’ll somehow find a way around Steffy, and maybe that means befriending her grandmother!” Her grandmother, of course, is none other than the even more murderous Sheila (Kimberlin Brown), who seems to have successfully changed her ways. Seeing a kindred spirit, Yamada remarked, “I mean, if anyone in the world can truly empathize with Luna, it’s Sheila, right?”
Yamada also explained that considering Finn feels a little something for his evil mom, that could translate to his new daughter. “Maybe there is a sense of hope [also] because Finn feels a biological pull toward Sheila,” she stated, asking, “Maybe he’ll feel the same with Luna?” A team-up between Luna and Sheila could be in the works with the deadly duo ready to wreak havoc.
