Lisa Yamada’s onscreen family keeps growing on The Bold and the Beautiful. Not only did Luna gain a father with Finn, but also a grandma with Sheila. As for Yamada, she’s excited about Luna and Sheila finally sharing scenes.
Dangerous Family Connections
Luna finally got the answers about her paternity after years of being lied to by her mother, Poppy (Romy Park). As it turns out, Luna’s family is more complicated than she thought. Her cousin Finn (Tanner Novlan) is actually her biological father. But that’s not the only family she gained with this revelation.
Luna is also the granddaughter of B&B’s most famous villain Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). When Luna told Sheila the news, her grandmother was ecstatic and immediately welcomed her into the family. With Luna and Sheila now together, things will get interesting, something Yamada is excited for.
GrandMommie Dearest
In an interview with Michael Fairman Channel, the actress expressed her enthusiasm about working with Brown. “When I found out that Finn’s my dad, I was like, ‘Oh my, God. I’m going to have scenes with Kimberlin.’ I mean, Luna and Sheila have never shared scenes yet, but behind the scenes, me and Kimberlin, we giggle and we chat it up all the time,” Yamada revealed. “Now when we come on set, she’s like, ‘You can’t call me, grandma. You have to call me Gigi.’ I’m like, ‘Ok, Gigi.'”
Yamada went on to explain why Luna and Sheila’s bond is special. “I think the characters are both crazy, but I think it’s going to be sweet because Sheila longs for a family and Luna longs for a family. Maybe they can, like, lick each other’s wounds, you know.”
Luna and Sheila will be scheming in no time. Since Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) won’t allow Finn to have a relationship with his daughter, the two will have to deal with that problem.
