One should never mix business with pleasure on The Bold and the Beautiful. However, these characters never learn. Carter’s involvement with Hope for the Future is about to get personal. He sees something in Hope that most fail to see, including Steffy.
Lawrence Saint-Victor teased that their characters will have “personal clashes” in the coming week ahead. Some viewers fear that he could lose his job because of it. But Saint-Victor feels secure about Carter’s position.
The Tipping Point
Carter envisions himself with Hope. He also wants to secure her future at Forrester Creations. It’s hard to tell whether he’s thinking about love or business. In his interview with Soaps.com, Saint-Victor teased that for his character, it’s “a mix of both.”
Carter is in a tough spot. He’s a longtime friend of the Forrester family. For him, business has always been personal. That was especially true for his prior office romances with Quinn (Rena Sofer) and Katie (Heather Tom).
Carter has feelings for Hope, which could cause tensions to rise. He doesn’t like that Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is pushing so hard against Hope for the Future and wants to throw away the line because of low numbers.
Saint-Victor doesn’t believe Hope should suffer because she kissed Steffy’s husband. In fact, he blames Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) for thinking with his feelings and leaving HFTF behind. Saint-Victor supports Carter’s idea of bringing more support to Hope’s collection.
On the Tuesday, October 22 episode, Carter unveiled another idea. He wants to incorporate Ivy’s (Ashleigh Brewer) jewelry line into HFTF. This could cause him to butt heads with Steffy. Still, Saint-Victor doesn’t believe Carter’s job is on the line.
He argued that Carter was not being respected. Steffy should respect her COO’s vision rather than treating him as “just some employee.” That’s where they will have more “personal clashes.” The actor teased that Steffy’s latest blowup with Hope will reach a “tipping point.”
