After 13 years of playing Carter on The Bold and the Beautiful, Lawrence Saint-Victor recently received huge recognition — a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Daytime Drama Series. He was a surprise nominee, but his reel put him over the top. It packed an emotional punch that tugged at voters’ heartstrings.

Key Takeaways

  • Saint-Victor had a major storyline in 2025 centered on Carter’s relationship with Hope and their business takeover.
  • Carter’s endured many heartaches throughout the years.
  • Saint-Victor used Carter’s most recent heartbreak with Hope to score his Daytime Emmy nod.

Lawrence Saint-Victor’s Emmy Reel

Last year, B&B fans saw a whole new side to Carter. The lawyer began a relationship with Hope (Annika Noelle), and together they took over Forrester Creations. Carter and Hope became a power couple with their sneaky coup.

However, like many of Carter’s past relationships, he and Hope weren’t meant to be. Although fans were upset to see Carter go through another breakup, Saint-Victor turned Carter’s angst into a Daytime Emmy nomination.

“The heart of Carter is always about trying to be in love and fall in love,” Saint-Victor told Michael Fairman TV. When choosing scenes for his submission reel, the actor wanted to showcase Carter’s ups and downs when finding love.

“I used the Hope breakup scenes, and it’s what led to my reel, because at the end of the day, everything he does is for love, and for me, the climax of this story is it still didn’t work.”

Saint-Victor went on to reveal that his reel consisted of two breakup scenes, one in which Carter and Hope break up only to get back together. But it’s the second breakup scene that might be the actor’s strongest performance.

“The next one is when he tells her to ‘Go be with Liam. Go be with your family.’ Then, I also had a scene with Carter and Daphne, where he’s just kind of down and out about losing Hope the first time.”

Lawrence Saint-Victor Goes For The Gold

Saint-Victor getting a Daytime Emmy nod and recognition for his work is long overdue. Fans will be rooting for the actor at the October 30th ceremony.

But he’ll have to beat out some stiff competition. The Young and the Restless stars Sean Dominic, Michael Graziadei, and Roger Howarth are also nominees, along with Beyond The Gates‘ Mike Manning and Timon Kyle Durrett.

It’s going to be an interesting race for Supporting Actor at this year’s Daytime Emmys. But Saint-Victor’s poignant portrayal of Carter’s latest heartbreak could bring the actor his first Daytime Emmy win.
