Krista Allen moved to Atlanta following her exit from The Bold and the Beautiful late last year. There’s plenty of scripted drama going on in that part of the country, but it’s a reality show that might snap up the daytime veteran.
Let the Champagne Throwing Begin!
“I got a very cryptic call today…” Allen shared on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Can’t go into much because it was just some basic questions. But, I’m intrigued.… does anyone watch #RHOA? [Real Housewives of Atlanta] Tell me all you know!!”
Sounds like she’s saying without saying the Bravo reality franchise is thinking about bringing her onto the show for an upcoming season. The Real Housewives of Atlanta is a reality series that features the real-life lives and loves of Atlanta-based women. The show’s cast has included over the years NeNe Leakes and Eva Marcille (ex-Tyra, Young and the Restless).
Other familiar faces from the soap world have been on Housewives series include Denise Richards (ex-Shauna), Eileen Davidson (Ashley, Y&R), and Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie, Days of our Lives); ironically, Allen took over for Rinna as Billie after she vacated the part back in 1996.
We do know that The Real Housewives of Atlanta is down one cast member. Longtime Housewife Kandi Burruss, who’s been with the show since its second season in 2009, shared at the Grammys that she was taking a break. “I decided I’m not coming back this year,” she told Variety.
Allen asked her followers to weigh in on what they know about the reality series. Many were happy to oblige. “I watch #RHOA and as with all Housewives, things get messy,” offered @Quartermainiac. “Do a deep dive before jumping because you’re a friendly ray of light on TwiX. You can ask BOLD actress Denise ‘BravofkingBravo’ Richards about her RHOBH experience and Eileen Davidson might have a fair assessment.”
“I’m not doing any jumping!” Allen replied. “There’s a lot going on with opportunities, but this call was so wild! I think it’s pretty intense to do a show like that and I’m not sure my neurodivergent brain could function!” Allen added a happy tears emoji at the end of her reply.
