While Brooke continues to pine away over Ridge, who can’t seem to decide which woman he wants to be with on The Bold and the Beautiful, Katherine Kelly Lang continues to give the role her all. For nearly 40 years, Lang has kept things interesting on the show, bringing Brooke’s powerful presence to the forefront. Lang was honored recently for her efforts and shared the good news with her fans.
She’s a Strong, Inspiring Woman
The world-traveling Katherine Kelly Lang wrote about her major milestone on Instagram: “Feeling incredibly honored to receive the Women Power Award at the Filming Italy Film Festival! Being on television for over 38 years has given me a platform to empower and inspire women worldwide, and that is something I will always cherish. Representation matters, and using our voices to uplift and support one another is so important.”
She also gave her thank yous, writing, “A huge thank you to @tizianarocca for organizing such a beautiful event and for celebrating strong, inspiring women. I’m beyond grateful! @filming_italy.” Lang also included the Monaco Chic and Fashion Jewelry brand, APM Monaco, for supplying her with amazing jewelry, as well as digital creator Alessio Filippelli for helping pull everything together. It Was Well Deserved
Along with her words, Lang shared several pics showing off her stunning outfit at the awards ceremony. Many of the photos had her with other celebrities in Italy, and a couple depicted Tiziana Rocca handing Lang the award plaque that had, “Filming Italy | Los Angeles Film Festival | Filming Italy Women Power Award” written on it.
Congratulations poured in from fans and peers, with General Hospital’s Finola Hughes (Anna) replying, “Congratulations!! And well deserved.” Laura Wright, who plays GH’s Carly, chimed in with, “Soooo pretty 😍.” Tracey Bregman, The Young and the Restless’ Lauren, simply shared some clapping emojis.
The fan responses showed how much they loved Lang, and one had some advice for her B&B alter ego: “Well deserved. I’ve watched you for those 38 years. Love your character…except…Please have some character dignity and don’t go back to Ridge [Thorsten Kaye] 😂😝😆.” (Get a peek behind the scenes with Lang.)
