On the Monday, September 23 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Dr. Li Finnegan comes to terms with the news that Taylor has heart failure and is dying. Taylor doesn’t want her family to learn this news, yet somehow, the truth has a way of leaking out. Once it does, it could bring Thomas back from Paris.
Dr. Li’s Dilemma
Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) revealed why she returned to Los Angeles. She didn’t come back to fight with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) for the affection of Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). In fact, she’s open to working on her friendship with Brooke.
Taylor has had a change of heart ever since she heard the news about her heart. She told Dr. Li (Naomi Matsuda) that she has heart failure and she doesn’t have long to live. Taylor wanted to return home to her family. But she doesn’t want her family to know about her medical secret.
Dr. Li is sworn to secrecy. This puts her in a difficult spot since her son Finn (Tanner Novlan) is married to Steffy (Jaqueline MacInnes Wood). She could accidentally spill the news to Finn at some point. Li will swear Finn into secrecy, but it won’t work.
Finn doesn’t want to keep any more secrets from his wife. He’s been working so hard to repair their marriage. He will argue that it’s important for his wife to know that her mother is dying.
Thomas Forrester Returns This Fall?
The news of Taylor’s health scare could also bring another Forrester child back into the storyline. Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) has been out of the picture since he returned to Europe with Paris (Diamond White). (Read about what happened to Thomas Forrester here.)
Steffy would likely share this news with her brother once she finds out. The fall spoilers suggest that Thomas and Hope will reunite sometime in the fall. Will the news of his mother dying have him thinking differently about life and love? Taylor’s death may bring #Thope back together.
Taylor’s shocking secret will likely change the direction of the show. Her vow to keep her heart failure a secret won’t stay under wraps. Having her family with her for her final moments only makes sense.
