Ridge returned to his waffling ways on The Bold and the Beautiful’s September 19th episode. He had an emotional conversation with Taylor that could leave Brooke reeling. Ridge admitted why he and Brooke haven’t tied the knot yet.
Emotional Conversation
Taylor (Rebecca Budig) revealed to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) that she saw him in Monaco with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). She didn’t want to disturb them on their romantic trip, so Ridge asked Taylor why she hadn’t reached out to him.
He told her that he would always make time for her. Taylor didn’t want to be a distraction for Bridge in Monaco. She hinted that she was there for an important appointment.
Ridge believed seeing Taylor would’ve been nice, but he understands why she didn’t tell him. Taylor wanted to keep her distance at the time. However, after her appointment, she felt called back to return home to Los Angeles. The fall spoilers suggest something’s wrong with Taylor’s health, which could be why she’s back.
Taylor joked that Brooke would accuse her of stalking them in Monaco. Ridge assured her it was only a business trip. Taylor noted that Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) wasn’t there because she missed her flight.
Then, Taylor overstepped boundaries by telling Ridge that she missed him. The exes reflected on the good times and painful memories, such as losing their daughter Phoebe (Mackenzie Mauzy). While Taylor enjoyed life away from home, she was glad to be back with her family. Ridge told Taylor that he wanted her to stick around. They looked into each other’s eyes, and their hands touched.
Their emotional conversation shifted when Taylor asked Ridge why he hadn’t married Brooke yet. He darted around the question and said he didn’t want to discuss wedding plans. Ridge accused Taylor of treating him like one of her patients. She apologized and said they have a lot of history between them.
Ridge finally explained they started planning their wedding, but they’ve done it all before. He didn’t want another big ceremony. He wanted to do it right when the time was right. Taylor confessed she thought they would grow old together. She thought of Ridge as the love of her life.
Tridge’s emotional conversation spells trouble for Bridge. Brooke felt good about her relationship with Ridge. She said they’re finally on solid ground. Those feelings won’t last long since Ridge told Taylor he wants her to stay in LA. The daytime soap is continuing this love triangle for as long as possible.
